NZPPA BOOTCAMP has been a feature NZPPA online event since the dark days of COVID, launching in 2022. NZPPA BOOTCAMP is designed to provide a short, sharp boost on essential payroll topics at a specific level. There are now two BOOTCAMP events: the original BOOTCAMP for new payrollers and, new for 2025, BOOTCAMP Masterclass for intermediate to senior payroll practitioners.

BOOTCAMP is not intended to replace formal training but should be seen as an essential professional development step for new payroll practitioners. From this year, it also serves as an annual refresher for intermediate and senior payroll practitioners (through the new Masterclass version). Over the course of the morning, six sessions will cover a wide range of payroll topics.

Your BOOTCAMP instructors are seasoned payroll professionals with years of experience in operational payroll.

BOOTCAMP can be viewed as a live event or OnDemand, as all attendees will also receive the recorded BOOTCAMP, along with presentation notes.

Attendees can ask questions (through ZOOM Q&A) during the sessions and will be encouraged to do so, along with any follow-up questions.

Di Crawford-Errington is the Founder of Ontrack Bookkeeping Ltd

A bookkeeping firm based in Whangarei.  Over the last 21 years, the business has evolved from the initial bookkeeping support role to include a tax agency and a payroll bureau focussing in the small business space.  In 2021, Di founded the Small Business Training Hub, a specialist training hub for the Small Business space, with a major focus on payroll training.

Ontrack Bookkeeping has a team that specialises in supporting small businesses with payroll solutions, training and support.  Di is passionate about people and providing clarity for getting it right.  She believes empowering people to be confident in payroll helps foster positive relationships within the workplace.

Di is an NZPPA Certified Level 5 Payroll Leader, award-winning Master Bookkeeper and has been one of the only two New Zealanders named in the Top 50 Women in Accounting for the 2021 and 2022 years.

David Jenkins, NZPPA CEO (BBS, BEd, BAppSci, GradDipALT)

David Jenkins formed NZPPA in 2007 when he saw there was no organisation looking after the needs of payroll personnel and departments in New Zealand.

With more than twenty-five years of consulting experience at a senior level in New Zealand, Australia, and globally, he specialises in payroll and human resource management, employee relations, personnel learning and development, and information technology (payroll and HRIS).

His career path has involved him in work for some of the largest organisations in a wide range of industries in both New Zealand and Australia.

He now acts as the CEO of NZPPA (in title only, as he still does the dishes after training!).
