Q: Baby came a lot earlier than expected before the start of Parental leave.
A: Then the following applies: parental leave stops when baby turns 1, so for example if the employee had baby then took 2 weeks of unpaid leave, then planned to take 52 weeks extended leave but because baby arrives two weeks early only 50 weeks of extended leave can be now taken.
