Union Fees

Q: Hoping you could please assist with the below.

We have agreed to pay our employees union fees. The question we have is, do we need to record this and report it to the IRD?
Is there anything else we would need to consider?

A: So, this would be a taxable benefit so would be part of gross and inflate KiwiSaver an Leave.  Cannot be seen as reimbursement.

So yes, reported to IRD and part of the gross for PAYE.
