Transferring leave 1st question

Q: If a client has an employee moving from their NZ to Australian operation.

Are they allowed to transfer the employees leave balance or must the employee be terminated and paid out?

A: Minimum entitlement leave must be paid out on termination there is no ability to transfer to another country presently under the Holidays Act.

Q: if an employee transferred from Aussie 6 months ago and transferred the Leave from Austarlia to NZ – it must be ok to transfer that leave back?

And only the leave accrued in NZ would need to be paid out?

A: If the Aussie leave was by agreement and nothing to do with NZ minimum entitled leave yes it would be based on what was agreed.
