Q: We have just been working to clarify STAT days for our IEA rostered team members as there has been some confusion around how this is processed. Specifically, around what constitutes a STAT day, the team have decided this runs midnight to midnight. For the most part this I believe is straight forward for Night Shift workers – anytime worked midnight to midnight on the STAT is payable at overtime regardless of the shift (Alt day applied but our IEA allows for an Alt day to be applied for any hours worked into a STAT (not roster base) hence the midnight to midnight) and anytime on the shift worked outside of the STAT is payable at ordinary time – Would you agree on this? I have also attached a specific query around our IEA clause and a recent query on how this is processed.
A: Based on what you have stated
- 1 Jan: 1.5 for actual hours (RDP) and a Alt day
- 2 Jan: 1.5 for hours worked on the PH and Alt day
Bottomline the employee cannot get both: 1.5 and Alt day and PH Taken for going sick for the 2 Jan
