Q: A new employee do they become entitled to sick leave immediately or after 6 months. I am unclear if law passed on this.
Reading the NZPPA 2022 I read it as after 6 months.
Can you please clarify this, or does it also depend on the wording in the employment contract.

A: The new Holidays Act won’t become law until late 2023 if it does.  So, the current rules apply 6 months current continuous employment.
