Here is a company offering one special holiday of 2 weeks for employees who have service for more than 15 years and another 3 weeks offer after completing 25 years of service.
If an employee has a special holiday leave balance when termination, could you please let us know whether these leave balances should be included in the termination pay?
Also, special holidays provided are one-off entitlements that are not cumulative, and which are forfeited if not taken before the next special holiday fails due.
A: If any leave balance is paid out, it will be included in the termination pay (8%). If it gets paid out, that is a matter of agreement.
