Redundancy Calculation

Q: We have a redundant employee, and the company agrees to pay 3 months redundancy plus retention payment.

My question is: how to count the 3 months? will it be 4 weeks x 3 = 12 weeks or it will be calculated by weekdays? i.e. final date 25/06, and 3 months should be 25/09, therefore, it should be calculated as 66 working days/

A: This is an agreed term so what was agreed? Is the 3 months defined in the employment agreement? In the letter informing the employee of the redundancy?  Or can the business go back and get this agreed with the employee (the employer has lost the chance as it should have been done at the time).

I can’t really state to use 4 weeks x 3 as this has to be agreed.  It is better to go back to the employee and get agreement or if you have two choices like 4 weeks x 3 or 66 working days choose the higher of the two and show the employee so they receive the benefit.
