Q: When the employee returns from parental leave, I understand AWE is used to calculate, but for how long is this rule in place?  12 months from the return date?


A: It should be coded differently as any annual holiday entitlement gained while on a period of parental leave or in the 12 months on return from parental only can use AWE.  It never reverts to the higher of AWE and OWP.
