Parental Leave

Q: Does Parental Leave affect the sick leave entitlement?

Sick leave is an annual entitlement.

If employee takes 6 months parental leave and their sick leave anniversary date is during the period of parental leave, do they still get the full 10 days?

If their sick leave anniversary date is not during the period of parental leave do they get the full 10 days?

If they are away a full 52 weeks do they still get the sick leave entitlement for that year?

A: Parental leave is counted as continuous employment so SL carries on, no change to the entitlement date or a reduced rate.
