Q: I just want to double check if back pays is considered as ordinary pay?

Back Pays are normally processed Annually and when there is a Promotion which can happen at any time during the year.

A: Under the Income Tax Act 2007 a backpay is considered and extra pay (RD7) so it is not considered ordinary pay (as that would be under RD5 salary and wage).
