NZ employee working overseas on a public holiday

Q: Can I please have your view of this:
An employee is overseas on a paid working trip on the dates of an NZ public Holiday i.e. was away from 17 April to 26 April inclusive. Is it correct that we pay them to work on a public holiday?

A: Yes, as the employee is under the terms of an NZ employment agreement. Under the Holidays Act, there could have been an agreement to transfer the day to another day, so that could have been another option.
