Leave without pay

Q: I have just read the latest newsletter on Leave without pay. We have an employee who has a non related work accident and is off work for the next six weeks or so on ACC. She is taking LWOP and in iPayroll there is a function that we can use called ACC Leave without pay which still accrues annual leave. As the newsletter says if taking more than one week LWOP but not including sick or unpaid bereavement leave. If she is on ACC LWOP, would I not need to move her anniversary date as the ACC LWOP is still accruing, however I am not sure if this reduces the divisor or not as its not transparent that I can see. Would I still need to have a written agreement recorded in writing for the employee to either move the anniversary date or reduce the divisor,.
if that makes sense.

A: ACC leave is counted as continuous employment under the Holidays Act just like unpaid sick, bereavement and family violence.

Leave without paid is the one that is different with only the first week counted as continuous every after is by agreement.
