Q: We have a Employee that is going on Jury duty shortly. This case is scheduled to last up to 6 weeks.
Can you please advise what the best practice is to treat Jury duty.

A: Here the common ways I see this applied:
There is no requirement for an employer to pay and employee anything while on jury service, the law only protects their employment.
- some employers agree to pay their ordinary hours and the employee directs the payment from the court back to the employer
- Some employers cap the payment to a period of time (only pay for the first week)
