Q: Hoping you can help, we have a payroll client who had a new employee start on 4th April working 5 days a week 9 hours per day. Should they be paid for Good Friday as this would usually be an otherwise working day? (they were not required to work)
A: You have basically answered the question if the day is day the employee would have worked if it had not been a PH then yes they should be paid for the day at RDP (what they would have been paid if they had worked) or if the day cannot be defined then ADP (52 week average).
