Q: Do casuals get an alternative holiday leave when working on a public holiday?
Casual worker not working on their set day, only gets called into work when required/ on call basis.
Would there be a scenario where a casual worker would get an alternative leave day when working on a public holiday? If so, which scenario would this occur?
A: If the casual has a pattern before a PH then yes they could get the Alt day, for example a casual employee covers people going sick four Mondays in a row (out of the blue not planned) and the next Monday is a PH.
How many Mondays in a row before the Public Holiday are necessary to identify a pattern?
