Q: We have a few clients who allow their staff to top up their covid subsidy payment with annual leave (the employee has no sick leave or alternate leave available to top up with).
When using the annual leave, should they be paid out at their RDP (as they would have if they had topped up with sick leave) or the annual leave rate which in this case is the higher of?
A: If you use annual holidays entitlement it still must be paid at the greater of AWE and OWP.
