ACC and the Holidays Act

Q: We have an employee that is on ACC just a little bit over a year now from 18th Aug 2021

Prior to him going on ACC his employment start date was 29 July 2021.

I am needing advise as this area is very grey to us

Does the employee accrue annual leave while on ACC ?

A: Under section 16 of the Holidays Act ACC is counted as continuous employment so yes they get 4 weeks of annual holidays on their ANN.
