15th NZPPA Payroll Conference, 8 Dec 2022


WE ARE BACK!

New Zealand’s premier payroll event is back! It has been over two years since NZPPA has run an in-person conference (back in 2019 with 200+ ATTENDEES). So, it is time we finally get back together as a profession.

The NZPPA 15th Annual Payroll Conference will this year be a one-day event (in 2023 we will be back to our normal 2 days).

This is a limited seats event so first in – first serve to secure your place.

This year’s conference theme: What’s in the future for NZ Payroll?

We have been going through unprecedented times: Covid, lockdowns, borders closed, war in Europe, COSTCO opening in Auckland and a cost-of-living crisis just to name just a few.

Alongside that payroll is facing the largest amount of change in the legislation (that impacts on the work we do) than we have seen in decades and in 2023 we will start to see some of those changes be implemented or know more on when future change will happen.

By having our conference at the later date (than we have had in the past) was so we can provide the latest information known to attendees.

Just some of the major areas of change payroll is facing that will be discussed at this year’s conference with the latest information being provided on:

  • Fair Pay Agreements
  • Employee Income Insurance Scheme
  • On where the new Holidays Act is at

Other areas that will be covered:

  • Tax update
  • Minimum Wage (what is known)
  • Changes to Parental leave
  • KiwiSaver
  • Other legislative changes proposed

Also asking questions of your payroll provider on how change will be incorporated and included in their payroll systems.

As we confirm speakers and also any new information on changes coming, we will update this page and the conference programme with what topics that will be covered at conference. This is the whole point of this year’s conference in giving attendees the latest information known up to the date of the conference.

This year’s conference will be live streamed & recorded

For the first time this year’s conference will be live streamed so if you cannot be at conference (in person) you can still be part of the event. Also, all attendees (that attend in person or live streamed will get a link to the conference rodeoing after the event.

Waipuna is one of New Zealand’s most comprehensive conference centres and is the venue for this years annual conference. Close the airport for out of towners

FREE shuttles available for pick up at the airport and for the return trip. On booking you can indicate if you want to use this service and we will send you the pick-up time that will be available.

As always NZPPA events are fully catered and any dietary requirements can be provided for.

Cost for this year’s conference

The NZPPA conference has always been value to money while still being a premier event. As stated, this is a limited seat event so book ASAP.

  • NZPPA non-members: $750 + GST
