The new minimum wage rates come into effect on April 1 2010.

The minimum wage will increase from $12.50 to $12.75 an hour before tax. This applies to all employees aged 16 and over, who are not new entrants or trainees.

The training and new entrants’ minimum wages will increase from $10.00 to $10.20 an hour before tax.
