NEW 2026: Virtual Classroom – NZPPA CERTIFICATE IN PAYROLL LEGISLATIVE COMPLIANCE (LEVEL 8)

FOR

This course is suitable for intermediate to senior payroll practitioners.

PURPOSE

Payroll professionals must be proactive in ensuring payroll compliance. Payroll is one of the most impacted areas of any business, where legislative requirements must be followed, or it can create serious risk.

Understanding the law, how it is applied to payroll software (configuration), how it is actioned within and outside payroll, and how it is managed are all essential to ensuring legislative compliance. This workshop is designed to upskill payroll practitioners with the knowledge and tools to be proactive in this area.

This course is delivered in a workshop format through an online virtual classroom and is run over two days (one day per week for two consecutive weeks). This allows attendees to apply what has been covered in their payroll between sessions and review it in the following session.

Attendees will be provided with an NZPPA Legislative Compliance Checklist, along with the NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. Numerous external references will also be provided throughout the course.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have completed a legislative compliance check of their payroll. Participants can also submit follow-up questions (on course content) via the NZPPA PayTech AdviceLine after the course.
