Join NZPPA
When you join NZPPA, you pay a one-off initial joining fee that covers your membership setup. This fee is not pro-rated and applies regardless of when you join during the year.
Did you know? Registered charities with IRD receive 50% off all NZPPA training.
From June in the year following your joining date, you will receive an annual membership subscription invoice, covering the period from June to June. Annual subscriptions are always charged at a reduced rate compared to the initial joining fee.
Individual Membership (in Member’s name) (Initial joining fee)
With this membership, you receive the latest NZPPA Practice Guide (valued at $145), login access to the Member Portal, full access to PayTech AdviceLine, and the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. Members also enjoy discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, two $100 NZPPA training vouchers (Must be claimed in the membership year and only one can be claimed at a time on a course greater than $500), and full certification access for one member.
The annual subscription fee is $185.00, billed each June for the following membership year.
Company Membership (in Company name) (Initial joining fee)
This membership includes the current year’s NZPPA Practice Guide, secure login access to the Member Portal, and full access to PayTech AdviceLine and the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. It also provides up to five individual Member Portal logins, discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, two $100 NZPPA training vouchers (Must be claimed in the membership year and only one can be claimed at a time on a course greater than $500), and full certification access for up to four members.
The annual subscription fee is $290.00, billed each June for the following membership year.
Corporate Membership(includes all payroll staff) (Initial joining fee)
This membership includes the current year’s NZPPA Practice Guide x2, and Member Portal login access for all staff involved in payroll within the business. Members also receive full access to PayTech AdviceLine and the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide, discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, and five $100 NZPPA training vouchers (Must be claimed in the membership year and only one can be claimed at a time on a course greater than $500). and full certification access for up to 8 members.
The annual subscription fee is $715.00 + GST, payable each June for the following membership year, starting in the year after joining.
Overseas Membership (Australia)
Under this membership type, you will receive a membership certificate and card, Member Portal logon details, Access to PayTech AdviceLine, Access to the NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide (Online), a Discount on NZPPA training and events, a $100 NZPPA training voucher.
The annual subscription fee is: $490.00 (billed in June each year for the following year)
Overseas Membership (Other) (Initial joining fee)
This membership includes the current year’s NZPPA Practice Guide, access to the Member Portal, PayTech AdviceLine, and the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. Members also receive discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, an x2 $100 NZPPA training voucher, and full certification access for up to four members.
The annual subscription fee is $590.00, billed each June for the following membership year.
Not-for-profit Membership* (Initial joining fee)
This membership includes the current year’s NZPPA Practice Guide, access to the Member Portal, PayTech AdviceLine, and the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. Members also receive discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, along with a $100 NZPPA training voucher.
The annual subscription fee is $225.00, billed each June for the following membership year
SMALL BUSINESS Membership (in Business name) (Initial joining fee)
The Small Business Membership is available to businesses with fewer than 20 employees, no dedicated payroll practitioner or internal payroll support, and where payroll is not processed overseas.
Under this membership, you receive Member Portal login access, PayTech AdviceLine, and access to the online NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide. This membership also includes one Member Portal login, discounted rates on NZPPA training and events, and a $100 NZPPA training voucher and one login for the full NZPPA certification process.
The annual subscription fee is $140, billed each June for the following membership year.
Not-for-profit (Charity) Membership
Must be an approved donee organisation (approved by IRD).
(in the Charity name, one logon is provided but anyone in the charity can use NZPPA membership services)

Resigning from NZPPA
Membership remains active until you formally resign in writing or by email.
Annual membership fees are invoiced on 1 June each year. If you resign, the annual fee remains payable in full and will be pro-rated from 1 June for each full month (part months are not pro-rated).
NZPPA does not refund membership fees, including the initial joining fee or annual subscription.
