Accordant Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Consultant to join our team based in Auckland CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a Payroll Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services for our subsidiaries Madison Recruitment and AWF Ltd.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the end-to-end payroll process, including payroll preparation, processing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of temporary employees and contractors.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and employee payroll documentation.
- Process PAYE, KiwiSaver, payday filing, and other statutory payroll requirements.
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with managers to support employee onboarding and payroll queries.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with employment agreements, company policies, and employment legislation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes and systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- A minimum of two years’ payroll experience managing or supporting end-to-end payroll processing.
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, including PAYE, KiwiSaver, the Holidays Act, and payday filing requirements.
- Experience working with payroll systems and managing employee payroll data.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Experience within a high-volume payroll environment will be viewed favourably.
