Who Should Attend
Payroll practitioners, payroll managers, and anyone responsible for payroll compliance, leave processing or preparing for the Employment Leave Act 2026.
Purpose
Together, these webinars give payroll practitioners a broader practical foundation in the leave rules, tests and calculations that will support payroll processing under the Employment Leave Act 2026.
The first webinar focuses on FBAPS — family violence leave, bereavement leave, alternative leave, public holidays and sick leave. It explains the key differences from the Holidays Act 2003 and how payroll will need to determine eligibility, leave taken, payment and record keeping.
The second webinar focuses on closedowns, parental leave, ACC absences and unpaid leave. It explains how these situations can affect leave accrual, access to other leave, public holiday entitlements and the amount to pay.
By attending both webinars, participants will gain a more complete understanding of the different situations payroll will need to manage and the information, rules and calculations required to process them correctly.
