Webinar One – Introduction to the Employment Leave Act

This introductory webinar explains the proposed Employment Leave Act, including:

  • Why the Holidays Act 2003 is being replaced.
  • The new employment leave framework.
  • Standard, additional, casual and availability hours.
  • Leave Compensation Payments (LCP).
  • Annual leave, sick leave, bereavement leave and family violence leave.
  • Public holidays and alternative leave.
  • Employment agreements, working patterns and payroll records.

Webinar Two – Employment Agreement Readiness for the New Employment Leave Act

This practical webinar focuses on preparing employment agreements and payroll processes by covering:

  • Employment agreement wording and payroll outcomes.
  • Hours of work, work patterns and employee classifications.
  • Pay structures, allowances, multiple roles and employment types.
  • Leave provisions, public holidays, closedowns and final pay.
  • Employment agreements versus workplace policies and payroll procedures.
  • Practical preparation for payroll and HR teams.
