Staying up to date with the latest information is crucial for payroll practitioners and anyone involved in payroll to make informed decisions.

For the past three years, NZPPA has been offering the NZPPA Payroll Legal Updates (Quarterly) to keep payroll professionals informed about the latest employment and tax law changes.

The NZPPA Payroll Legal Updates 2026 will be held once each quarter (see dates below). These sessions provide attendees with the latest insights from subject-matter experts in employment law and tax.

We’ll feature both guest and regular legal experts in employment law and tax, along with NZPPA’s insights on how these changes may impact payroll.

Starting at 11 a.m., each session lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours, depending on the scope of changes during that period. The first webinar will be live and will also be recorded. Participants can attend live or watch the on-demand version (or both) and will have access to webinar notes.

All NZPPA special webinars are recorded. Once the recording is published, attendees will receive a webinar pack that may include:

• Webinar notes
• Presentation slides, if used
• Questions and answers from the webinar
• Additional supporting documents
• Presenter’s contact email for follow-up questions

The webinar access link will be sent no later than close of business on the Tuesday of the webinar week. Any webinar notes available in advance will be sent on the morning of the webinar.
