In 2022 we will learn about the new Holidays Act (as government has stated it will be passed in 2022 to be implemented in 2023) and other areas of legislation that will have an impact on payroll such as fair pay agreement and the new social security insurance for redundancy.

Once every quarter NZPPA will be running an online legal update on legislative changes new and upcoming along with any new case law that impact on payroll.

The aim is to keep payroll informed, prepared and aware of these changes so payroll can be proactive in its application and understanding.

We will have guest and regular legal SME’s in both employment law and tax along with NZPPA insight on how changes will or could impact on payroll.

Each update will have what will be covered published prior to the update and attendees will be able to send through questions prior to the session on update topics.  For some presentations we will be able to provide notes (all depending on the speaker).

Each session can be from 1 to 1.5 hours in duration (all depending on the changes in that period).  The initial webinar will be live but will also be recorded and participants can either view live or see the OnDemand version (or both).
