Barbara Buckett is a highly skilled senior law practitioner, with over 30 years of experience in employment law. Barbara is particularly appreciated for her strategic thinking, pragmatic, innovative and solution focused approach. She has worked extensively in litigation and dispute resolution and has appeared before most New Zealand courts for a wide range of clients, public and private sector, employees and employers.

Barbara established Barbara Buckett & Associates (BBA) in 1998, following a period at the New Zealand Bar as a Barrister. BBA’s philosophy in respect of employment matters is that prevention is far better than cure.

RACHEL GROOT / SOLICITOR, BARBARA BUCKETT & ASSOCIATES

Rachel Groot has been part of the employment law team at BBA since 2006 and has been practising as a solicitor since May 2009. As well as dealing with all aspects of employment law, Rachel has a keen interest in educating both employers and employees on their rights and obligations. She regularly writes articles for the NZPPA newsletter and other publications, and is a volunteer at the Community Law Centre.
