Payroll Auditing Workshop

Payroll professionals who want to audit a payroll function (internally or externally) in regard to compliance with legislation, minimising risk and payroll best practise.

Payroll professionals must be more proactive in ensuring the greatest cost to any business is compliant, not causing additional risk to the business and payroll activities are structured in the best possible way.
Auditing involves following the steps every audit should follow: selecting an audit methodology, setting audit criteria, planning the auditing activity, developing auditing tools, conducting the audit, analysing audit results and reporting the results.
For auditing payroll this workshop will build into the course content the above steps focusing on the payroll specific area such as legislative, risk and payroll best practise areas that would be the focus of a payroll audit.
This course will be run in a workshop format allowing participants to develop an audit plan and questionnaire. Participants will be able to submit the plan to their tutor after the course for feedback.
