IRD’s 29 January email referred to two changes to the payroll specification v3 for the pay period commencing on or after 1 April 2010.  These changes were noted in the email as:

- Section 8.3: New Westpac bank branch range

- Section 6.9: A minor omission in the Associated Rules column of Page 56 Sequence 5

IRD also noted that Section 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 required no changes to the listed operating systems and web browsers

IRD had hoped to get a refreshed specification out by end of February incorporating these changes but unfortunately that has not been possible.

As there are no subsequent specification changes required at this point, IRD will now roll these changes into the next major revision of the payroll specification.

Looking ahead, IRD's next release of the payroll specification will reflect any new legislation changes, in addition to the feedback received on changes to the payroll specification from the payroll developers representative group.
